Report on Attendance at the Emperor's Reception

On June 24, 2024, I attended a reception hosted by the Japan Society in honour of His Majesty the Emperor of Japan.

Since its establishment in 1990, Nakayoshikai has been dedicated to supporting Japanese families in the UK and families in the UK with ties to Japan, with the aim of alleviating the sense of isolation that can often be experienced by Japanese parents in the UK.

We were honoured to receive an invitation to the Emperor’s reception, recognising the Nakayoshikai's long-standing efforts.

The reception was attended by over 300 guests, and I was fortunate enough to listen to speeches by His Majesty the Emperor of Japan and the Duke of Gloucester from the front row.

Moving forward, I hope to continue supporting Japanese families in the UK, families connected to Japan, and those who simply love Japan.
